Subject: Earliest version of OS Classic with USB?
The latest USB card support driver by Apple I can find on the internet supports 8.6 - 9.2.2.

I know there is a driver that can support 8.1. I believe it was an earlier version of the same driver. ...

I don't think 7.1.1 was available in any other language but NA English.

I'm pretty sure that System 7.1.1 supposed to be dubbed "System 7 Pro" and only meant for certain Powerbooks.

When you insert the CD, does the CD ROM drive make any odd/strange noises that are out of the normal?

Can you also provide some more information on the CD drive? Is it the original internal cd driv ...
