What are you thinking about buying?

A G5 Dual for a desktop replacement?

What kind of portable are you thinking about using in the future?

You mentioned that you would like to get a Powerbook 2400c.

Probably a faster G4 (a 133mhz Motherboard DA or something), and a 2400c or something.

I oringinal wanted to get a PowerBook 2400c and put a solid state drive in it so it would run silent.

Please document your findings on the PowerBook 2400c if you decide to go with it.

I have been loking on eBay and the PowerBook 2400c is rare. The G3 upgrade card is even harder to find. Good luck in your System 7 adventures.

I use Office because I need to, even then I prefer Appleworks.

But I use Office for basically everything and save in the most universal format if I can depending on what that is for the app in case I need to use something else.

Office is one thing that Microsoft got right.
