I read a snippet on some web site that it is possible to get the Radeon 7000 to run under Mac OS 7.6.1 by tricking the ATI installer. I am definetely going to try this today or tomorrow on my Power Mac 8600/200 and post the results here.

Everyone cross your fingers.

I'm not going to be able to work on the Radeon 7000 project for a while since I'm back at school now. I am, however, pretty confident I can get it working eventually.

Well, just as a teaser...

I did get the Radeon 7000 working in OS 9 on the 8600. I tested it using Graphing Calculator (whose 3d objects make use of acceleration) and boy was that fast. Also fast was window redraws and everything. It'll be awesome if it works in OS 7.

Is your ATI Radeon 7000 a 32mb or 64mb card?
