A lot of people would rather have a G3-upgraded 1400 than an actual G3. Mostly because of the keyboard. The PowerBook 1400 has a near cult following.

People buy things they want. Theres plenty of G3 Wallstreets on the market. There are very few 466mhz PowerBook 1400s.

I have a 333 G3 sonnet, I got it for fun as well as making the machine more usable. It was worth it I can run 7.6.1 and up with a lot of speed. Everything is quicker, especially photoshop. I have always loved my 1400 and to make it usable with out spending a lot of money, $200 rebuilt it. It's easy and simple and 7.6 screams. I recommend it. jhall how's the upgrade?

The upgrade is great. I bought a powerbook 1400c with a 117mhz processor. I can tell a big difference. The only problem is that the cd drive does not work. I don't have a 7.6.1 cd. I was thinking of buying a powerbook 1400cs with 7.6.1 already installed and copying the startup disk with a pcmcia adapter to compact flash.
