What do you do with the OS X Dock?
Use the default settings and keep adding apps there

I guess I could have put other. On our mini, I have the dock on the bottom with only a few extra items added. On our macbook, it's hidden, again with only a few extras.

I have a dual-monitor config, I put it on the far left. Immediately next to it is Twitter, then Mail on the left display. Safari lives on the right display, full screen.

I use multiple desktops (Spaces in Apple terminology) to separate uses. Next space over (when they're launched) is iTunes (left)+iPhoto (right). Then over from that is whatever other apps I happen to have open.
